Equestrian sports photographer specialising in equine, field and Motorsports photography.
Steve is a full time freelance professional photographer. He is official photographer to Moor Farm Polo Club based on the Shropshire / Welsh Border and Photographer to the Perpetuum Motorsport F1000 Team. He is currently accredited to Equestrian Sport New Zealand, Polo Times, Hounds Magazine, Horsemanship Magazine, Carriage Driving Magazine, and the world renowned Baily's Hunting Directory, submitting both articles and images to these as well as many other equestrian publications. Steve works with commercial clients including The National Trust, Countryside Alliance, British Dressage, Charles Owen, Monarch Equestrian, British Horse Society, Asociacion de Criadores de PSI de Espana, The Northern Racing College, The Racehorse Owners Association and many of the top flat racing training yards & owners in the country.
When not supplying commercial clients with images, he works closely with private clients on commissions and producing bespoke images and prints. Steve also has a growing list of game shooting, gundog and dog clients. He also enjoys photographing hounds (fox hounds, bloodhounds and beagles), dogs, and wildlife, and was runner up in the Leica Fieldsports Photographer of the Year competition 2015. When not taking photographs, he spends as much time as possible fly fishing rivers using Western & traditional Japanese Tenkara fly fishing methods, attempting to catch brown trout & grayling by using flies he has 'tied' himself. He is also very keen on watching WWII aircraft, and is helping support the restoration of what will eventually be the only airworthy Hawker Typhoon in the world.
Steve already had a very successful exhibition titled 'Working Hands' as part of Shropshire Hills Art Week 2016. He is a member of The Royal Photographic Society (www.rps.org), working towards his ARPS distinction.
